International Day of the Girl 2017

On this year's #DayoftheGirl, Sexplain spoke at Women Ed's #leadmeet at Aureus School, Didcot.

We were joined by several speakers who were all passionate about tackling gender inequality and making the world a better place for girls.

Bennie Kara is a Deputy Head at Aureus School. She explained how gender norms manifest themselves in the classroom and what Aureus School is doing to tackle this.

Monique from Threads Equality Agency told us about her recent successes running feminism workshops for dads in Oxfordshire.

Year 10s and 11s from Didcot Girls' School told us how the culture of leadership in their school has helped them to grow.

Matt from Organic Man began by telling us about the bizarre gendered reaction and gendering of his family's new puppy, Monty.
